Some may call it grainy, we call it generous.
Our Regenerating Lip Serum was crafted with intention. Each bottle carries 25 % Shea Butter, a concentration few chemists would dare to formulate with. We chose that richness deliberately because we value performance over marketing.
That velvety texture you feel may sometimes carry a gentle grain. It isn’t a flaw; it’s the living nature of unrefined Shea. Temperature shifts or long journeys can encourage its natural crystals to form, only to melt again with the warmth of your touch. When it does, you’re feeling Shea in its truest state nutrient-rich, unprocessed, and honest. The raw generosity of nature, returning to silk.
In mainstream beauty, “grain-free” usually means “heavily processed.”
Big brands often use “tipping” percentages, just enough of a prized ingredient to make a label claim, not enough to make a real difference.
There are reasons why most brands don’t dare to use such high concentrations. Cost and margin pressure play the first role. Raw, unrefined Shea is expensive, often up to ten times the cost of synthetic emollients. For large-scale producers, that difference cuts deep into margins. Many mass-market balms contain less than one percent of Shea, just enough to make the claim. We chose twenty-five.
Then comes texture control. Natural butters are living materials. Their texture shifts with harvest, climate, and season. High concentrations can create a gentle graininess, a mark of authenticity that many companies filter out in favor of a smooth, factory-perfect feel.
There is also regulatory and marketing flexibility. By law, a brand can say “with Shea Butter” even if there is only a trace amount inside. It is enough for the story, but not for the skin.
And finally, scale and shelf life. Industrial manufacturing depends on consistency and long global transit. Refining and diluting natural ingredients makes them more predictable, easier to store and ship, but it also strips away their vitality, their scent, their character.
We see it differently. Every choice in our formula is a commitment to truth over convenience, integrity over illusion.
We see it differently. Every grain in our serum is a sign of integrity, evidence that we refused to trade truth for texture.
Our formula isn’t pretending to be flawless. It’s alive. It changes subtly with temperature, touch, and time, like real skin, like real care.
Because true generosity isn’t smooth or perfect; it’s abundant. It gives everything, not just enough to make a claim.
